- The Academic Society for Management & Communication is a joint initiative of leading companies and universities that seeks to promote and professionalize corporate communications through research projects and regular exchange.
- The initiative is the first of its kind in Europe and was founded in 2010. As of today, it is supported by six universities and nearly 40 corporate Partners.
- The Academic Society has conducted various research projects on topics such as leadership, reputation, employer relations, trust, and CSR. In 2015 it launched the world's most comprehensive research program on corporate communications to date - Value Creating Communication.
- At the heart of the Academic Society is the regular exchange between practitioners and researchers. Communication leaders meet/come together twice a year at the Hermes Dinner and the Leadership Forum. In addition, the Academic Society organizes further events, workshops and webinars in order to promote knowledge sharing/transfer between researchers and practitioners.
